Vista Update – October ’16
All the latest news for Vista as of October 2016
Shopping Centre Precinct
The Singleton Shopping Centre Precinct is expected to be complete by late 2017 and is being delivered by Aigle Royal Group which received Development Approval in August 2016 for the new centre.
Aigle Royal Group has secured Woolworths as its major tenant for the shopping centre which will also include a pharmacy, medical centre, a café, hairdresser, beauty salon, newsagent and food outlets.
As you may know, initially Coles were going to deliver the shopping centre however they made the decision not to proceed and sold the shopping centre site to Aigle Royal Group. You can get more information here about this if you interested. For more information on this please see the following link here.
Vista has employed a maintenance contractor to run a regular program of maintenance. One specific issue that we’re investigating is the health of the trees. We’ve been advised that the trees need time to get established and regrow their foliage as they are deciduous trees.
We were advised to reassess the tree health in spring and we have engaged a landscape architect to manage the issue.
Home Builder Rubbish and Illegal Dumping
Vista Estate is something we’re very proud of and keeping it look neat and tidy is important to us all.
With this is mind Vista Estate has now undertaken several site wide clean ups for rubbish largely created by homebuilders. However we’d like to ask that those building at Vista ensure that builders dispose of all site waste.
We’d also like to ask your support in our effort to keep Vista looking tidy. If you witness anyone disposing of rubbish on building sites, please take a photo and report it to the building company (most sites have a sign with the home builders name and details). If this persists, the builders should be reported to the City of Rockingham.
If you see any person illegally dumping rubbish we would appreciate it if you report it to the City of Rockingham.
The Park on Aquamarine Parade is nearing completion and should be available for use by resident’s in early November 2016.
We are also progressing plans for the development of more parks at Vista and we’ll keep you updated on progress.
Vista Estate has created the site for the primary school and it is now in the hands of the Department of Education.
We have been engaging with the Department to highlight the importance of planning for the development of a school within the community. We recently submitted a package of information to help the Department of Education understand the status of Vista Estate so they can expedite their works programme.
