Christmas Carols at Vista – what an evening!
The local community turned up ready to enjoy their Christmas Carols in the Park event on Sunday 15 December.
Attendees were entertained by the Red Choir – who are always a hit and other local music and dance acts. Santa made his grand entrance in a gleaming Fire Truck – driven by our local Fireys.
Community Manager, Sherryn Rietdyk said: ‘We were so happy to be able to host this event in our much-loved new parkland. It was the perfect venue. Large enough for the kids to run off some steam and for our local vendors to come and promote their wares. The weather was great and the community really got into the spirit with Elf ears and Santa hats in abundance!’
The Vista Community Committee (VCC) did a fantastic job of organising our local home based businesses to come and promote their products. The VCC are a bunch of enthusiastic volunteers from within Vista. They are always looking for people to assist in any capacity. Even if you cannot commit to joining the Committee – you may be able to assist with a specific event or activity.
For our Vista residents we encourage you to make contact with your Residents group – you can find them on Facebook at Vista Community Committee Karnup.
Thank you to all of the people who came along and contributed to a wonderful community event. Keep an eye on our Facebook page for our next event in February!
